Travelers with Disabilities

Many members of the UK community with disabilities successfully travel abroad every year. However, advance planning is key, because accommodation for mental, physical, emotional or learning disabilities can vary widely between countries.

Students with disabilities who wish to participate on Education Abroad programs should discuss possible accommodations as early as possible with their Education Abroad advisor, as part of the program selection process, and they are encouraged to work with the Disability Resource Center

UK employees with disabilities are encouraged to contact the office of International Health, Safety & Security to discuss resources and possible accommodation before departure.

Mobility International also provides resources on their website to help travelers with disabilities plan for international trips.
