About Kathryn King

Kathryn started as an international recruiter for UK in late October 2017 although she has been working in international education for over a decade. So far, she is focusing her efforts on International Transfer Fairs in the Seattle area, Latin America and the Middle East - as well as digital recruitment efforts.

Kathryn started her career at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Qatar in 2005. She worked for Georgetown in Qatar for nine years, ending her tenure as the Director of Student Programs. Upon returning to her native Lexington in 2014, Kathryn worked for several years teaching ESL for BCTC's Adult Education program at the Newtown North campus and the Operation Read program in the Carnegie Center.

Kathryn holds an M.Phil in Race, Ethnicity, Conflict from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. As an undergraduate student, she studied abroad in Beirut, Lebanon and Lyon, France - where she also worked as a primary school English instructor. She is fluent in French, functional in Arabic, and working on her Spanish!
