Craig Borie is the coordinator for Shoulder to Shoulder Global (STSG) at the University of Kentucky (UK). He has been a youth mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and similar programs for twenty-seven years and has travelled to more than fifty-five countries. He is a graduate of Colorado State University, alumni of Semester at Sea and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. After Peace Corps, Craig became a Senior Manager of International Contracts at Sun Microsystems. Later, after taking part in home stays in the Middle East, Africa and the Americas, he worked with the USAID and Georgetown University Scholarships for Education and Economic Development (SEED) program. Craig is a board member of the Kentucky Peace Corps association, serves as a member of Kentucky Ecuador Partners and the mayor’s Civic Engagement Committee at Global Lex, volunteers locally with refugees from Burundi and Congo, is the STSG Student Association advisor, is a co-author in the book, “Offenders No More, An Interdisciplinary Restorative Justice Dialogue” and is completing a master’s degree in Community and Leadership Development in UK’s College of Agriculture.
