Moon Festival Artwork & Essay Competition


This contest encourages young people to explore their creativity and the festival's themes of harvest and the changing of the seasons through artwork and writing. In collaboration with the Kentucky Chinese American Association’s Moon Festival Celebration, this competition is open to all K-12 students. The artwork will be displayed at the KYCAA’s Moon Festival, and an Awards Ceremony will also take place at the Festival.

How to Submit

Artwork may be submitted by mail or in person.  

Essays may be submitted electronically or by mail .

All artwork and essays must be accompanied by a complete entry form, attached with the entry. Entry forms can be downloaded here


All entries are due to the UKCI by September 6, 2019.
