Get Involved with UK Education Abroad & Exchanges
Guide Curriculum Integration
Join the effort to develop major-specific advising resources that assist students in selecting education abroad programs aligning with their major or minor. Major Advising Pages (MAPs) highlight education abroad as an academic endeavor integral to a student's degree. UK EA works directly with departments to pre-select programs that best align with degree requirements.
Conduct an International Site Visit
Travel abroad to assist with ongoing assessment of established programs abroad, ensuring academic quality and standards of good practice. UK EA works with affiliate partners to provide opportunities for faculty to participate on established site visits or familiarizations trips.
Access the Education Abroad Faculty Toolkit
UK EA offers an online resource that includes innovative and pedagogically-sound activities for education abroad or residential courses. The online Faculty Toolkit provides instructional resources for faculty seeking a global perspective in their classroom.
Visit a Program While You're Abroad
Planning to be abroad to conduct research or attend a conference? UK EA maintains a fund to cover additional expenses (i.e. housing, meals, local transportation) associated with conducting a brief site visit as an add-on to your already arranged travel. Let us know when and where you'll be traveling and we can help connect you to programs nearby.
Support the Development of an Exchange Program
UK EA works with 60+ institutional partners around the world to facilitate student mobility for both UK students and international students interested in studying abroad at UK. Exchange programs can enhance your department's international agenda while opening up immersive education abroad opportunities for your students. Check out the UKIC partnerships website to see where UK already has established partnerships. Contact us if you and your department have additional interests.
Join the Education Abroad Scholarship Review Committee
Join us to help award over $350,000 in scholarships to UK education abroad students. The administration of UK EA scholarships is achievable only because of the faculty and staff who volunteer their time to be scholarship reviewers.
Serve on the Education Abroad Committee (EAC)
The EAC is a sub-committee of the International Advisory Council (IAC) comprised of faculty members representing their respective colleges. The EAC serves in an advisory capacity to guide all aspects of UK EA.
