Highlighted Programs

Faculty-Directed

The course will feature guest lecturers from field experts and site visits throughout the area, as well as several days of practical experience in a strategic communications-related capacity through work with a local non-profit organization. Participation in this course will lead to an understanding of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and, as appropriate, other forms of diversity in domestic society in relation to strategic communication. Through study in the Western Cape province, including visits to government and wine industry offices and to wine producers experimenting with a range of methods to promote their products, students in this program will get a close view of the need for strategic communication practitioners to fully account for cultural and contextual issues in developing campaigns. Students will work in one of two small groups to develop two campaigns targeting U.S. audiences, one to promote the sale of South African wines in the U.S., and the other to encourage U.S. consumers to visit South Africa's wine regions. Students will enroll in ISC 497: Special Topics in ISC: Promoting the South African Wine Industry (3 credit hours) as well as EAP 599: Study Abroad (1 credit hour). Term: Summer

This virtual Global Semester program gives you the opportunity to register for a minimum of one and a maximum of four online courses at Massey. Registering for four online courses means you are participating on this program in full-time status. You can also register for 1-3 online courses at Massey while also registering for courses at UK.

The Global Remote Internship Program provides students with the unique opportunity to gain practical 21st century skills, industry, connections, and international business experience through project-based learning.
