Faculty-Directed

Students will study current neuroscientific theories that explain the motivation for drug use as well as those biopsychosocial mechanisms that mediate the progression from drug use to drug dependence and addiction. These theories will be applied to better understand cultural differences that exist between the US and the Netherlands regarding drug use, dependence, and treatment.

Korea University (ISA)

Korea University is one of the Korea's oldest, largest and top-ranked universities. Known as the "Ivy League" private university in the country, Korea University is a world-class institution featuring a dynamic educational environment, beautiful and conveniently-located campus, and top-quality student facilities. With a variety of courses in business, sciences, arts, humanities, social sciences, applied sciences, and even more specialized fields, you will have the opportunity to take courses for your major, minor, and general education requirements. All courses are taught in English by local and international faculty, with the exception of the Korean language course. No Korean language experience is required to participate. The classes are comprised of Korean students, ISA students, and visiting international students from all over the world.

While studying in Florence, Italy with API, you will take coursework at Lorenzo de’ Medici – The Italian International Institute (LdM). Located in a 13th century convent in the heart of the city, courses are available in a wide variety of subjects across the arts, humanities, business, and international relations. Summer in Copenhagen (DIS)

Copenhagen, Denmark

DIS offers a variety of summer courses from nordic mythology to medical biotechnology. Most courses are offered in 3 week blocks with the opportunity to enroll in multiple blocks over the summer. There is also a special 7 week program format specifically for architecture and interior design students! Copenhagen, Denmark is a cozy and welcoming Scandanavia country (it's from where hygge originated!) with first class museums and sites to see, such as the Design Museum, and Tivoli Gardens! DIS courses are taught by industry professionals, and you'll study alongside other students from the United States.

This virtual Global Semester program gives you the opportunity to register for a minimum of one and a maximum of four online courses at Massey. Registering for four online courses means you are participating on this program in full-time status. You can also register for 1-3 online courses at Massey while also registering for courses at UK.
