Faculty-Directed

The course will feature guest lecturers from field experts and site visits throughout the area, as well as several days of practical experience in a strategic communications-related capacity through work with a local non-profit organization. Participation in this course will lead to an understanding of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and, as appropriate, other forms of diversity in domestic society in relation to strategic communication. Semester in Copenhagen (DIS)

Place yourself in the center of the European communication landscape to develop your cross-cultural communication skills, hone your critical media literacy, or gain an understanding of new media trends and public relations dilemmas in Europe. Students have access to courses such as Cross-cultural Communication, Rhetoric of Gaming in Scandinavia, Virtual Worlds & Social Media, Visual Storytelling: Documenting the Intercultural Experience, Rewriting Democracy: iCitizenship in a Nordic Context, and many more.

Enhance your future career in Hospitality & Tourism through an internship in Barcelona! Students will work approximately 20 per week at their internship placement and can take an additional summer business course. During your free time, you'll be able to explore the incredible art and architecture of the cosmopolitan capital of Spain. Explore the Sagrada Familia, designed by Antoni Gaudi, or relax on the beach after work!

Spend your summer in Berlin, Germany; Paris, France; San Jose, Costa Rica; Milan or Florence Italy on a Global Experiences internship. GE interns will participate in an internship accompanied by a 3 or 6 credit hour course. You can start planning for your internship by talking with your Academic Advisor about available department or experiential credit options, and which might be the best fit for your degree plan.

With an 80-year tradition of academic excellence, Massey offers a wide range of subjects, with key emphasis on natural sciences, engineering, creative arts and business. This virtual Global Semester program gives you the opportunity to register for a minimum of one and a maximum of four online courses at Massey. Registering for four online courses means you are participating on this program in full-time status. You can also register for 1-3 online courses at Massey while also registering for courses at UK.

The Global Remote Internship Program provides students with the unique opportunity to gain practical 21st century skills, industry, connections, and international business experience through project-based learning. Students will participate in either a group project, facilitated by a Professional Mentor, or an individual placement. In all cases, participants will work remotely from their own home and still gain valuable international experience while earning academic credit. Company location will be international based in Europe, Asia, or Oceania.
