Contemporary Topics in Global Health: A Comparison of Country Responses to COVID-19
Students will explore and compare the global responses by country to the COVID-19 pandemic from multiple perspectives. Working in interprofessional teams, students will discover the variations in and resulting impacts of different responses to COVID-19. This will be accomplished by exploring the epidemiology of the pandemic as impacted by the roles of government and policy in addition to the dialectical interactions of social, cultural, and economic factors. Through this, students will gain a greater appreciation for and deeper understanding of the complexities of avoiding and mitigating a pandemic.
