Jing Yang is a Chinese teacher and an outreach coordinator for the University of Kentucky Confucius Institute (UKCI). She is primarily in charge of the K-12 Chinese cultural showcases while also coordinating some of the program’s world festivals and community activities.
Before coming to the UKCI, she obtained her bachelors degrees in English Education from the College of Arts & Sciences at Yunnan Normal University. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Yunnan Normal University as well. Prior to her time with the UKCI, she worked as a volunteer Chinese teacher at the Confucius Institute at De Montfort University in the United Kingdoms and as a volunteer Chinese teacher for an internship program at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. She is passionate about teaching Chinese and Chinese culture to students around the world, and enjoys dancing, hiking, and playing piano and hulusi in her free time.
