Global Health Organizations

Consortium of Universities for Global Health

CUGH builds interdisciplinary collaborations and facilitates the sharing of knowledge to address global health challenges. It assists members in sharing their expertise across education, research and service. It is dedicated to creating equity and reducing health disparities everywhere. CUGH promotes mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships between universities in resource-rich and resource-poor countries, developing human capital and strengthening institutions' capabilities to address these challenges. It is committed to translating knowledge into action.

Unite for Sight

As a pioneer of responsible healthcare delivery, Unite for Sight serves, empowers and mentors organizations and individuals to provide high-quality outcomes.

American Academy of Family Physicians

The AAFP offers a wide variety of information, tools and resources on global health. Because the health of patients within U.S. borders is affected by the health of populations worldwide, and health outcomes in other countries can be affected by developments in the U.S., family physicians have a significant stake in global health issues.

Student Interest Groups

Global Health Alliance

The Global Health Alliance (formerly International Federation of Medical Students' Association) is an interprofessional group of students interested in global health issues. The students hold an annual art auction benefit for Shoulder to Shoulder each year along with service projects in the community.

CONMIGO

CONMIGO is an inter-professional organization for future healthcare professionals who have an interest in understanding the context of providing healthcare to the Hispanic/Latino population. As an organization, we will broaden our scope of practice through attaining language skills, understanding the barriers to healthcare and becoming culturally competent providers.

The group’s interests are split between organizing and volunteering in community outreach projects, and organizing events and opportunities for members to be exposed to both the language and culture of this community.  In addition to regular meetings, small conversation groups of all levels meet for coffee and to practice speaking Spanish.
