Franny Henkel has been a Student Immigration Specialist for F-1 and J-1 students at the University of Kentucky since 2011. She provides support for Undergraduate, Graduate, and ESL students so that they can maintain immigration status and abide by government regulations. In addition to one-on-one advising, she also presents student employment workshops, new student orientations, and processes student verification requests. Before coming to UK, she studied, traveled, and taught in Italy and worked in the ISSS office at UNC-Chapel Hill where she earned her masters in Comparative Literature. She has served on the NAFSA Region VI Leadership Team as conference registrar and chair. In her free time, Franny enjoys reading and hiking with her family.
