Diane Maldonado

Operations Manager

Diane Maldonado is the Operations Manager in the UKEA office. Diane oversees all aspects of daily office operations, to include reception and administrative services, calendar scheduling and functionality of the physical office spaces. With a firsthand experience living abroad in Ecuador, Diane truly understands the importance of gaining an international experience as well as discovering a global perspective.  Prior to joining the UK Education Abroad & Exchanges team, Diane served as the Latino Programs and Services Coordinator and the Office of Inclusive Excellence Administrative Assistant at Northern Kentucky University.  Although new to the Education Abroad profession, Diane has gained experience leading students on several study abroad programs as well as preparing pre-departure orientations. She also has worked as a student worker in the Education Abroad office and participated on numerous programs including a semester in Mexico. One of the most fascinating places she has visited to date is Machu Picchu in Peru.   

A native of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish and a Masters of Science in Community Counseling with a certificate in College Student Development from Northern Kentucky University. In her free time, she enjoys building houses out of mud and building her off grid empire with her miniature Dachshund named Friday.
