Marc Invergo

J-1 Scholar Advisor

Marc K. Invergo has worked at the University of Kentucky since 2004, and is currently the J-1 Scholar Advisor.  As Scholar Advisor, he has worked extensively with issues related to Research Scholars, Short Term Scholars, Professors, Specialists and Student Interns.  Previously he had worked with the Summer Work Travel program and J-1 Students.  He's attended national and regional conferences and presented at four of them; three as part of a panel related to J Scholar issues, and the other as the main presenter in the discussion of the ease of using the J Specialist category.  He finds the ever changing world of immigration regulations both challenging and rewarding.  He has also worked with a NAFSA group to review the initial online NAFSA manual.  He is currently part of the Trainer Corps program.  Marc has a Bachelor's in Business from Loyola University in Chicago and a Master's from Northeastern in Chicago.
