The University of Kentucky is excited to welcome participants to the 2025 Fulbright Seminar for German Administrators in International Education. The seminar will introduce participants to student support services in US higher education – especially in US international education. Participants will become familiar with the student services culture of US colleges and universities, its historical development, the financial pressures on US institutions, and how on-campus cultural expectations lead to unique programmatic models in international education. Topics such as student wellness, mental and physical health, risk and crisis management, parental involvement and expectations, and how other cultural aspects of student life affect international education in the US context will be explored in detail.
