UK Education Abroad (UK EA) expects that you to live in vetted, approved housing arranged by their affiliated partner program. This housing is reviewed and selected to support student safety, security, and program success.
UK EA Approval
- UK EA does not review or approve independent housing requests. Decisions about independent housing are made solely by the affiliated partner program.
Partner Policies and Approval
- If the affiliated partner allows you to opt out of program housing, you must follow the partner’s policies and procedures for requesting and arranging independent housing. Approval for independent housing, if available, is determined by the partner—not by UK EA.
Partner Program Responsibility
- The affiliated partner is responsible for ensuring that all housing—whether program-arranged or approved independent housing—meets appropriate health, safety, and security standards for UK students participating in their programs.
Student Responsibility
- If you choose to pursue independent housing through your program provider, you do so under the partner’s authority and policies. UK EA will not intervene in or support housing arrangements made outside of the approved program housing.
