Your eligibility to participate in a UK Education Abroad (UK EA) program is subject to review of your UK student conduct record.

  • Pre-Approval Review: UK EA completes a review of your student conduct history in coordination with the UK Office for Student Conduct as part of the approval process. If you have one or more conduct violations, you may be required to complete additional steps before being considered for program participation.
  • Conduct Abroad: While abroad, you are expected to uphold the University of Kentucky’s Student Code of Conduct. If you violate the UK Student Code of Conduct while abroad, your infractions will be reported to the UK Office of Student Conduct for review to be handled through the standard disciplinary process.

Failure to adhere to the UK Student Code of Conduct while abroad may result in dismissal from a program. Dismissal from a program for these reasons could result in major financial and academic implications, and include additional on-campus disciplinary actions once you have returned to the U.S.
