University-wide Navigation

F-1 and J-1 nonimmigrant students wishing to maintain their visa status are responsible for reporting changes of address in a timely manner, maintaining employment and/or enrollment with the sponsoring institution, and following  document-carry requirements.

Due to our obligations to the Student and Exchange Visitor’s Information System (SEVIS), the university must report certain information about students with F-1 or J-1 visa status. This reporting is routine.

Federal Law Enforcement on University Property

Faculty, staff and students should know and follow the university’s guidance regarding responding to federal law enforcement on the University of Kentucky campus.

Protests and Student Visas

President Trump’s executive order “Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism” may have implications for international student visas. View the executive order and factsheet to learn more.
