International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) provides a number of services for current international students, including support and information about student employment, health coverage and others. ISSS provides immigration advising which allows international students to achieve their academic, professional and research goals. By facilitating cross-cultural connections we create opportunities to develop a sense of belonging at UK.

ISSS files H-1B and permanent residency (green card) petitions on behalf of UK and facilitates the J-1 exchange visitor’s program.

International Student & Scholar Services provides leadership and expertise in the advising and immigration needs of more than 2,000 international students and over 500 international faculty, staff and exchange visitors. ISSS also administers university compliance with evolving federal regulations, supports the university and its medical center by managing global student and scholar interactions, and facilitates the well-being of all international students, faculty, staff and scholars.
