A faculty-directed study abroad program is a University of Kentucky course designed and led by UK faculty or staff. These programs provide students with the chance to engage in immersive learning experiences, combining traditional classroom instruction with hands-on activities and cultural exploration. The guidance of the faculty members ensures academic continuity while enabling students to gain firsthand insights into different cultures and environments, fostering personal growth and a deeper understanding of global perspectives.

Technology for Social Justice in Oaxaca, Mexico

Immerse yourself in a transformative learning experience through our study abroad course in Oaxaca, Mexico. Branding, Messaging & Digital Strategies in London

Outside of New York City, London is the advertising and marketing capital of the world, and certainly the leader in European advertising.  This course will examine how advertising and public relations practice in London differ from the United States through in-country study of print, broadcast and out-of-home advertising and visits to advertising and public relations agencies as well as popular culture museums and attractions.  If you’ve ever seen a television program featuring European ads, you know they’re often edgier than what we see in the United States.  This course will help you understand why and how that happens.
